The Masonic Hall was built in 1884, by the local Knights of Pythias, the first of the fraternal organizations in Crested Butte. It housed a number of
fraternal organizations through-out the year, then became the Two Buttes Senior Center, and is now a retail store.
This building was also used as the Bank of Silver Hill, in the 1972 Walt Disney Movie "Snowball Express".

The Masonic Hall was also one of a number of two-story outhouses. Two-story outhouses were necessary in the harsh Crested Butte winters, because of the large amount of snowfall in the area.
