The Barber Shop

Built between 1890 and 1900, this building served as the first barber shop, run by the first black business owner in Crested Butte, named Mr. Boyd, who lived in the back of the building with his grandson.
Then a Jim Blakemore bought the building when Mr. Boyd left, and also run a barber shop in the building. Jim Blakemore was also one of the first to own a automobile in Crested Butte.

The Crested Butte Pilot Building was moved into the alley, and turned into a restaurant in 1987 by Fritz Diether.
